Curious Style Journal aims to make writing about clothing clear, careful and independent. We distinguish explanation from opinion, check factual details before publication, and make meaningful changes visible to readers.

Accuracy and clarity

We review names, dates, descriptions and other factual details against appropriate material before publication. We write within the limits of what can be established and avoid presenting personal taste as fact. Where an explanation depends on context, we state that context plainly.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for the publication's readers, not to secure a product mention or partnership. A commercial relationship does not determine our conclusions. We do not imply that an item has been tested or personally experienced unless that is true and relevant.

Corrections

If you spot an error or an unclear passage, use the Contact page and identify the article and detail. We review correction requests, amend verified errors, and make a clear note when a change materially affects the meaning. Small fixes to spelling or formatting may be made without a separate note.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner-supported material is identified clearly where readers encounter it, including partner placements across the site. Such material is kept distinct from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; they are used as illustrations, not as evidence or documentary photographs.
